Metro Motors Auto Division was founded in the year 1998 since erstwhile Bombay Metro Motors operating from the same premises shut shop due to viability problems after a long stint as dealers for foreign vehicles initially and thereafter for Mahindra & Mahindra and Hindustan Motors Ltd.
Metro Motors Auto Division came into being with the support of the Red Line arm of Hindustan Motors attached to Mitsubishi Motors as their partner for manufacture of Mitsubishi cars in India with their plant located in Kadambatthur, Chennai.
In keeping with the Company philosophy of providing top-of-the-line products and services to their clientele the Company needed a Flagship Dealer to cater to the retailing needs of it's parent company for Mumbai's selective car-loving population.
Thus arose the need for a top-end dealer with trained manpower and experienced staff as a support to the system. This was when MMAD, as it is fondly known, was born as a 3S Mitsubishi Dealership and is considered as an extension of the Hindustan Motors Ltd.
